We post and publish guest articles on our blog about positive happenings in and around Rockbridge County. If you send us a picture and/or video of anything positive from the area — such as waterfalls, sunsets, sunrises, dogs, moons, rocks, rivers, or even the northern lights, you’ll be entered to win a $200 gift card (Visa)! These drawings are live streamed three times a year.
For another chance to win a $200 gift card OR the grand prize of a three-night stay at our 3-bedroom Buffalo Creek Bungalow, submit an article to be placed on our blog (drawing held once a year). Livestream drawing will be held on February 19, 2025. Submit your Vacation Pictures Contest
Book a vacation at one of our 5 Vacation Rentals, all in beautiful Rockbridge County and submit your best Rockbridge pictures to Facebook and Instagram with #RockRiverExperiences and be entered to win a $200 Visa gift card. A drawing will be held 3 times a year (next live drawing will be held on February 19, 2025). Book 2 vacations or 2 locations or write an article about your stay or about Rockbridge County and you will also be entered to win a free 3-night weekend at our Buffalo Creek Bungalow.
Children’s Drawing Contest
We have really enjoyed families visiting and children leaving or sending us art inspired by Rockbridge County, so we decided to make a children’s contest. Leave us a picture using your children’s choice of paint, crayons, pencils, etc. depicting anything about their Rockbridge County Vacation experience they enjoyed and we will enter your family into a drawing for a $30 Visa gift card, with a drawing to be held every 6 weeks. In addition to the random drawing, we will also pick our favorite picture every 6 weeks and it will be entered in the February 2025 drawing for a free 3-night weekend at our Buffalo Creek Bungalow. This special Children’s Drawing Contest is eligible only for Rock River Experience guests 15 and under.
Rock River Experience’s Rock Hunt Contest
We hide around 100 rocks a month in Rockbridge County (including in and around our vacation rentals). On the back of each rock is a sticker directing you to our website. Send us a picture of the rock and let us know if you want to keep it or rehide it and you will be entered to win a $200 Visa gift card. We will hold a drawing 3 times a year (next live drawing will be held on February 19, 2025). Note: We do not hide inside drawers, cabinets or inside anything else. Hint: If you are anywhere in Rockbridge County you may also find our rocks; we tend to hide them near our favorite locations and businesses, so read our blog and visit our business partner locations. Keep your eyes open!
